Mr Monty’s Art Emporium pops up at… Smithbrook Kilns, Cranleigh

Smithbrook Kilns Smithbrook Kilns 2

From now until Christmas, Mr Monty’s Art Emporium is collaborating with Icon Stamp Art at Smithbrook Kilns, Cranleigh not far from Guildford.

You’ll be able to see (and buy of course!) a selection of work by the fabulous UK-based artists who are part of my Emporium.

I don’t get out beyond my territory much so I can only go off what The Staff tell me but they’re usually pretty reliable, so here goes.

Smithbrook Kilns has grown from the site of a derelict brickworks into a hub for an eclectic (big word for a little cat!) mix of businesses which include:

Icon Stamp Art (of course) which sells pictures made of genuine stamps within a silhouette outline. All stamps are originals, so each artwork is unique.

Hollyhocks – lovely waxed cotton items such as cushions for outdoors and log baskets made in the shop by owner, Mary

Smithbrook Glass Blowing studio – beautiful glass objects and they run workshops too. The Staff tell me it’s very hot in there!

Two up-market jewellery shops, and Beyond Mountain Bikes - a specialist cycle shop which has a resident D.O.G. called Blue. He likes anyone who passes to throw a Frisbee for him… I’m saying nothing.

And there’s lots more too including Bricks café where you can get lunch followed by yummy cake (I prefer Dreamies and Lick e Licks myself).

It’s easy to find on the A281 (Horsham Road) which runs between Guildford and Cranleigh.  It’s much less stressful than trying to buy Christmas presents in busy town centres and there’s parking too!

So do pop in if you’re in the area and say hello Graham (one of my Staff, or Simon of Icon Stamp Art.
